Fair Credit Disclosure

• Chez-Moi may obtain consumer or investigative reports for legitimate screening purposes.
• We comply fully with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq.).
• You have the right to review and dispute any inaccurate information contained in such reports.

This disclosure is provided pursuant to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”). Chez-Moi Inc. and its partners may request consumer reports and/or investigative consumer reports about you for purposes of tenant screening, lease underwriting, or identity verification.

By continuing, you authorize Chez-Moi Inc., its property owner clients, and their designated agents to obtain consumer reports and/or investigative reports from third-party consumer reporting agencies. This may include credit history, eviction records, criminal records, and other public information permissible under the FCRA.

You also authorize ongoing consumer report access throughout tenancy or business engagement, as necessary for account review, maintenance, renewals, or compliance purposes.

• You must be told if information in your file has been used against you.
• You have the right to know what is in your file and to obtain a free report annually from each major credit bureau.
• You have the right to dispute incomplete or inaccurate information.
• Consumer reporting agencies must correct or delete inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information.
• Only authorized persons may access your file for legitimate business needs.
• You may seek damages from violators of the FCRA.

If any adverse decision (e.g., lease denial, conditional approval, or employment decision) is made based in whole or in part on information from a consumer report, you will receive a separate written notice identifying the reporting agency, along with your right to obtain a free copy of your report and to dispute its accuracy within 60 days.

All consumer reports obtained by Chez-Moi are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws. Reports are stored securely and accessible only to authorized users for permissible purposes.
